My Little Girl

As a sit back and look how much my life has changed since Miss Haylen Jo entered this world, I can't help but feel joyful on all her accomplishments in just her five years of life. She is so full of life and ready to accept all the challenges that come her way. I am so incredibly grateful to be her mommy. There are days I want to just pull my hair out and quit because of the challenge she gives me, but who  would that make me? She has taught me to be strong and always keep going. She is going to school next week and by the grace of God and help from her grandparents she gets to go to a private Christian school where she will grow even more. I am so proud of her. God gave her some pretty strong qualities that will suit her well and that is what makes her so special. I love her dearly, more than I will ever be able to express.
She kept telling me she wanted some pictures so I thought what a better way than to get some first time school pictures before she starts next week and our lives get even more busy. She was excited, picked out her dress and told me she wanted her hair down and no braids! Ha!
Let me tell you a cool story about the chair in this picture; it is a family chair, I can not recall who made this chair, which also has a desk to go with it. But my papa and my mother sat in this chair. It has many many years of use, not that I am calling my mom old or anything. I am sure it has been painted many times and has had many years of little hineys on that chair. Which makes it very special to me and I am sure to many of you who are reading this. Those books I believe, I also got from my Mama Zeke's home after she passed. Those are special too and are very old as well. Everything in my picture has a story to tell. I hope you enjoy these few that I have posted, as it was very hard for me to narrow my 50 pictures down to about 10 that were the favorites. Happy school year to all of you who are off to school. May God be with all of our children as the go into this school year and be a light for all to see! Enjoy:)

Something about the Ranch

We dont have a ranch, but I sure would love too! I love taking pictures outside and especially at a ranch. Country is just beautiful and always makes for some pretty pictures. Something about animals, rustic buildings and cute kids make a picture.
Haylen Jo had horse camp this past week, I probally took over hundred pictures on my phone and camera. She just looked adorable and proud. She was so in love with the horse it was just perfect to capture that love she has on camera. In the meantime of all this cuteness, I was chasing around Rylan and zane, Rylan didnt really want pictures, that's why she wasn't in any. She always gave me some faces when i tried. Haha. Zane is just a cute little
Country boy, that is just so handsome not to take pictures of:).
I love country, kids and animals and here are a few of my favorites I took of my sweeties. Enjoy!!

Photoshoot gone Bad...

This week I had it all planned out. I was going to take my kids to a picnic and feed the ducks and in the meantime of all the fun and snacks we would snap a few pictures of them. I even borrowed a wagon from my neighboors and was ready to go. The kids were so excited to go to the park and see the ducks, they love to visit the ducks. We had our Picnic and everything was to be going just great. It was quiet out there and windy, so made the evening nice. I got my camera out and all of my things ready to take some pictures of my little beauties. I took a few and then it all turned real bad. Zane fell down, so I asked Haylen to help him up, then he started screaming and I ran over to him and he started looking different and acting different. So, I layed a blanket down and told him we could have a Popsicle and cool off.

Then a parents worst nightmare, Zane started turning all red and his face turned white and he became very puffy and short of breathe. I threw all my belongings into my wagon and darted off to get to my truck. The girls were trailing behind me and I am pretty much yelling at zane to keep him alert, as he was getting worse by the second. I called 911 and they tried to calm me down and came out there in about 5 minutes. He cooled off and they took care of him right there in the park. I was able to load my things up and was able to take him home with immediate care of meds and rest. He looked so miserable. I was terrified. Come to find out he must have stepped in a fire ant bed and has about over hundred bites on legs and arms. He is ok now, Thank God!

So, this little Fourth of July photoshoot will be finished another day, as for now I got about three photos of them, but hopefully there will be a part 2 coming with some more:)! I hope this does not happen again. We will be staying away from ants and I will have to carry Benadryl with me now. As I will probably be real scared about anything that will happen to my babies. Always watch out for ants. Eek....

The Sweetest Family

Last year when we moved to college station, we of course went to the kids favorite place,Chick-fil-a. Kids were so excited and I still felt out of place in a new town even though I lived here my college years. We went to the play place after we ate and ran into the sweetest family. We talked and come to find out we have kids all the same age and the same amount of kids and just hit it off pretty well. Rachael is about the most sweetest lady I have ever met and such a great mother to her children and great wife to her husband. She has become a very good friend of mine and I was so thrilled to have the opportunity to take some family pictures of her family.

We went to a park that is open and let them be kids with few poses here and there.  We got some of the entire family and you never think she is nine months pregnant, looks amazing!! I captured some cute ones of kiddos just being kids and playing with bubbles and in the flowers of course. After we took some shots I rewarded the children with some massive lollipops, I think they liked them very much! I am loving capturing pictures for people, and I thank all who let me practice with their families! Enjoy the pictures of this precious family!!

For the love of Horses

This past saturday we were just piddling around as a family typically does on a saturday. Then Steven got a phone call from an old friend that invited us to come and visit him and his horses. So, literally on the spot we dropped our things and packed up and left. Its not every day that we can get to do this unfortunately. So, we take all advantage of it right now until that one sweet day comes when we can visit our own backyard full of horses and animals. I can't wait! But until then we welcome every opportunity to do fun things as this. My kids love horses and the outdoors. We drove out there and first we got the chance to visit a new baby horse, as my kids call it. His name is Scooby, and he is so cute and playful.

Then we got to ride Bo, such a calm minded horse. We didn't even saddle him up. Haylen thought that was so fun riding bareback! In the meantime Zane is a little bit afraid still of horses, so he found the water trough for the horses and decided it would be a nice swimming pool. Haha. The girls wanted to play in the water too, so they got to bathe Bo.  In the meantime from being busy with kiddos,I was able to snap some photos of horses. They are such majestic animals. Their eyes always seem to tell me a story, I find horses eyes so beautiful. If you ever have the chance to ride or to look or even help a horse, I would highly suggest it. There is nothing better!

Fun in old historic cypress park

On friday morning we got up and did our normal routines, but I was very excited to do my first real photo shoot without my kids in the pictures. Ha! Although the weather was wet and foggy that morning, I was praying for a little better weather. As we drove down the road the weather got better and better, I was so excited.
I met my little toddler I was taking pictures of, she is the most adorable little girl. All dressed up with those beautiful curls in her hair.

I took her to the spot where we would begin this thing. Toddlers are one to explore everthing and everywhere and dont really like to be told what to do. So, to save her happiness I allowed her to do her thing and I really just followed her around. I was just her guide, she leaded me. It was fun chasing her around the area, running, playing peekaboo and allowing her to see the birds, pecans and the ramps to run up and down. I dont know who was more worn out, me or her!
Luckily, her momma is awesome and helped me with my kids in the meantime while I was running around with her daughter.  My kids did great trying to stay out of the pictures.
We all had a great time and to end it she got a huge lollilop for being such a little movie star for me. I was so proud of how everything went, I just left there with a big smile on my face.
I came home and looked at all the pictures I took, and so many turned out great in my huge selection to choose from! I am doing editing right now, little touch here and there, but they are coming out beautiful and I cant wait to share with this special family. Thanks ya'll.

A little about sweet daisy

Last year my desire for shooting pictures increased drastically. I have always had an interest in photography along with my other shared passions.  I got  my new camera on my birthday from my most awesome mother in love, along with my awesome parents. After this i shot just sparotic pictures of my children  and my animals, trying to learn how to do all the fancy tricks and things. There is so much behind a picture its incredible. I have learned a lot and  I still am learning more and more skills. I decided in November to pursue photography and then i wanted to think of a name. I didnt just want my name because it seems their are many Emily's around this world.  I combined one of my greatest attributes about me,"sweet" with one of my favorite flowers,"daisy", and there you have it sweet daisy photography.
I am self taught and I will always find something new to learn.  My costs will be very affordable as I am not in this for money. I just want to give others chances for nice photos of the ones that mean most to them in their life. I will serve you with kindness, love and great understanding. I will just be the one behind the camera capturing that moment you want for above your fireplace or wherever you put your most treasured pictures.
